Chitra's multiple myeloma treatment fund
Chitra is facing multiple myeloma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Chitra was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in October. The oncology team at the Surat Oncology Institute has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in December. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Chitra is 40, worked as a taxi driver until October, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Surat Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,200
• Scans and lab work: $210
• Transport to the Surat Oncology Institute: $80
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $95
