Chioma can't leave home - help build a ramp
Help Chioma regain independence: a simple ramp build.
๐ณ๐ฌ Lagos, Nigeria970 views
Chioma has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Chioma can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Chioma's family will cook lunch for the team.
Glad we found this place.

Rooting for you. Shared it with a few friends. Wish I lived closer to Quezon City so I could bring a meal.

You're not alone. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
