Chebet's gallbladder removal can't wait - please help us cover the bill
A scheduled gallbladder removal in November is out of reach without help covering $750 of the cost.

Chebet was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in August. The surgeon at Kampala University Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,000, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $750 short.
my wife has been in and out of Kampala University Hospital since August. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Chebet struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Chebet won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.

• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $60
• Post-operative medication: $30
• Physiotherapy sessions: $45
