Charles's laparoscopic endometriosis surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
Charles needs laparoscopic endometriosis surgery at Eugene Orthopedic Institute and the family is $7,750 short of the hospital's estimate.

In May I was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery. My surgeon at Eugene Orthopedic Institute recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for August. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $10,250, and after what my insurance will pay, I'm still $7,750 short.
Doctors at Eugene Orthopedic Institute told me endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. I work as a market vendor, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $10,250 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a market vendor have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 4 weeks. I'll not be able to stand for more than ten minutes during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $7,750 goes:
• Post-operative medication: $175
• Physiotherapy sessions: $600
• Hospital stay (5 nights): $3,650
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $2,800
• Travel and lodging for the family: $525
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
