Charikleia received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
After the closure of the factory, Charikleia is 5 months behind on rent and has a final eviction notice from the landlord.

When my hours were cut in half in August, Charikleia fell 5 months behind on rent. Last Wednesday a final eviction notice was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $1,400.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by October, the family must leave.
There are 2 children at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Charikleia has started working weekend shifts, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• Rent arrears (5 months): $870
• Late fees and court costs: $135
• Utilities in arrears: $115
• First month of rent as a buffer: $280
Thank you so much.
