I make my living with my pickup. 5 weeks ago the suspension failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $100. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $100 goes: • Road tax and insurance renewal: $55 • Labor charges: $35 • Towing and inspection: $10 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  • is there anything that isn't money that would help Chaminda?

    • Thank you. If you're in Colombo I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Fair thing to want to know.

  • Thinking of you and your family, Chaminda. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Wish I lived closer to Pelotas so I could bring a meal.

    • hope the shop reopens soon. Blessings.
