Chalerm lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at the Phuket Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,150. His current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 5 weeks. With the right equipment Chalerm could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
