In August I was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect. My surgeon at Quezon City Regional Medical Center recommended emergency hernia repair, and I have been placed on the schedule for October. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $1,700, and after what my insurance will pay, I'm still $1,350 short. Doctors at Quezon City Regional Medical Center told me an aortic valve defect will get worse without emergency hernia repair.
