We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a repair café workshop - we need $450 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Cedar Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $450. It will serve about 205 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $450 goes: • Materials: $270 • Permits and inspections: $20 • Safety equipment and signage: $50 • Tools hire and delivery: $110 Every share and every dollar helps.

  • Thinking of you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless

    • Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Love from Jakarta Selatan.
