Cedar Primary School needs a covered market stall space - Daniel's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Austin are raising $2,950 for a covered market stall space at Cedar Primary School.
🇺🇸 United States2,266 views
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Cedar Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $2,950.
It will serve about 153 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,950 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $310
• Tools hire and delivery: $310
• Materials: $2,330
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
Updates from Daniel
Quick update: $1,737 raised so far (59%). I met with the suppliers and confirmed the amounts. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
Small update. $1,537 so far, we've started the first stage.
Update from Austin: we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. We're at 18% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
