Cedar Park needs a free library and reading room - Jose's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a free library and reading room - we need $2,350 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Cedar Park, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $540, and the remaining cost is $2,350.
It will serve about 84 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,350 goes:
• Materials: $1,500
• Permits and inspections: $140
• Safety equipment and signage: $370
• Tools hire and delivery: $340
