Cataract surgery for Rosa: covering what insurance won't

Rosa was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in August. The surgeon at New York Regional Medical Center recommended cataract surgery, and She is scheduled for December. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $14,500, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $7,200 short.
my daughter has been in and out of New York Regional Medical Center since August. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without cataract surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $14,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Rosa struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Rosa won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
