Cataract surgery for Iman: covering what insurance won't
Iman needs cataract surgery at Shubra University Hospital and the family is $250 short of the hospital's estimate.

Iman was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in January. The surgeon at Shubra University Hospital recommended cataract surgery, and She is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $330, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $250 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Shubra University Hospital since January. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without cataract surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $330 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Iman struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Iman won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $250 goes:
• Post-operative medication: $60
• Travel and lodging for the family: $55
• Physiotherapy sessions: $135
Thanks for being kind about this.
