David needs cataract surgery at Gatineau Regional Medical Center and the family is $1,350 short of the hospital's estimate.

David was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in March. The surgeon at Gatineau Regional Medical Center recommended cataract surgery, and He is scheduled for July. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,250, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $1,350 short.
my son has been in and out of Gatineau Regional Medical Center since March. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without cataract surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, David struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time David won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
