Cataract surgery for Audrey: covering what insurance won't
A scheduled cataract surgery in October is out of reach without help covering $1,800 of the cost.

Audrey was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in August. The surgeon at Southampton Orthopedic Institute recommended cataract surgery, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,000, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $1,800 short.
my wife has been in and out of Southampton Orthopedic Institute since August. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without cataract surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Audrey struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Audrey won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $1,800 goes:
• Travel and lodging for the family: $170
• Physiotherapy sessions: $410
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $1,050
• Post-operative medication: $170
Thank you so much.

Rooting for you, Wyatt. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did.
Good luck. Shared it with a few friends. I have a 6 year old who wants to send good wishes too
