Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Young-ho

Help Young-ho regain independence: a simple ramp build.

Young-ho has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Young-ho can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Young-ho's family will cook lunch for the team. Thank you so much.

  • rooting for you, Soo-jin. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Seoul.

      • hope the doctors have good news. Wish I lived closer to Takoradi so I could bring a meal. All the best

        • So sorry you're going through this, Soo-jin. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. We're a small family in Saket but we're thinking of you. Blessings

          • praying for you. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
