Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Michelle
Help Michelle regain independence: a simple ramp build.
๐บ๐ธ Tennessee, United States524 views
Michelle has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Michelle can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Michelle's family will cook lunch for the team.
Thank you so much.

Wishing you the best. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 8 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Greetings from Comilla

Thinking of you, Piper. Wishing Michelle a smooth procedure and a full recovery. I'm in hospitality myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best.
Rooting for you. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We're a small family in Saint-Denis but we're thinking of you. Thinking of Nashville.
