Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Clement
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Accra.
🇬🇭 Accra, Greater Accra, Ghana891 views
Clement has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Clement can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Clement's family will cook lunch for the team.
I hope life is good to you.

Stay strong. This could happen to any of us. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
thinking of you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Thinking of Accra
