Caroline was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in February. The surgeon at Saint Francis Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and She is scheduled for June. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $12,750, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $6,400 short.
my sister has been in and out of Saint Francis Hospital since February. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $12,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Caroline struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
