Carol lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at London General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,850. Her current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 6 weeks. With the right equipment Carol could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $1,850 goes: • Delivery and set-up: $60 • powered wheelchair: $1,650 • First-year servicing plan: $140 With deep gratitude, Nicholas
