Carmen's laparoscopic endometriosis surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After a torn ligament that needs reconstruction, Carmen was cleared for laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

In May I was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction. My surgeon at Tlaquepaque Regional Medical Center recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for July. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $2,150, and after what the government subsidy will pay, I'm still $1,500 short.
Doctors at Tlaquepaque Regional Medical Center told me a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. I work as a market vendor, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $2,150 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a market vendor have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Recovery is expected to take about 6 weeks. I'll not be able to walk without help during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $145
• Travel and lodging for the family: $45
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $1,050
• Physiotherapy sessions: $260

can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Tlaquepaque.
Thank you. If you're in Tlaquepaque I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great.
Keep going. Looking forward to the next update. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
Sending love, Carmen. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My neighbor in Mendoza donated after I showed her your page. All the best.
How is Carmen doing now?
Hope things get better soon, Carmen. Get well soon. Sent it to 25 people at work.
Looking forward to the next update. I went through something like this 8 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best.
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Love from Bergamo.
