Care for Todd, 85: help cover a carer and medication in Montréal
Todd can't afford the care He needs after the death of his spouse; we're asking for $4,300.
🇨🇦 Canada150 views
I'm caring for my father, who's 85. After the death of his spouse Todd can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Todd desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Todd worked all of his life as a shopkeeper, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $4,300 goes:
• Part-time carer (three months): $3,550
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $380
• Medication and prescriptions: $370
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
