Care for Samuel, 86: help cover a carer and medication in Lagos
Samuel, 86, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $600 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 86. After a diagnosis of dementia Samuel can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Samuel desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Samuel worked all of his life as a seamstress, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.

• Medication and prescriptions: $50
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $65
• Part-time carer (four months): $485
