Care for Robert, 81: help cover a carer and medication in Savannah
Robert, 81, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $4,600 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 81. After worsening Parkinson's disease Robert can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Robert desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Robert worked all of his life as a bus driver, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $4,600 goes:
• Part-time carer (six months): $3,050
• Medication and prescriptions: $710
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $370
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $470
