Care for Maksym, 78: help cover a carer and medication in Moscow
Maksym, 78, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $1,700 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 78. After a stroke last August Maksym can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Maksym desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Maksym worked all of his life as a seamstress, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $1,700 goes:
• Part-time carer (six months): $1,250
• Medication and prescriptions: $200
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $110
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $140
