I'm caring for my father, who's 78. After the death of his spouse José can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and José desperately wants to stay at home. I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. José worked all of his life as a farmer, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $4,300 goes: • Part-time carer (six months): $2,700 • Medication and prescriptions: $890 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $370 • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $340 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
