I'm caring for me, who's 90. After a heart attack Inès can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Inès desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Inès worked all of her life as a bus driver, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $2,400 goes:
• Part-time carer (three months): $1,900
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $250
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $250

Sure. The biggest one is part-time carer (three months), $1,900. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. It helps to be asked.
