I'm caring for me, who's 92. After a heart attack Gabriel can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Gabriel desperately wants to stay at home. I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Gabriel worked all of his life as a bus driver, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference. The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices. Where the $3,500 goes: • Medication and prescriptions: $530 • Part-time carer (four months): $2,300 • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $670 Ask me anything below before you decide.
