Care for Brigitte, 80: help cover a carer and medication in Essen

I'm caring for my mother, who's 80. After a fall and hip fracture Brigitte can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Brigitte desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Brigitte worked all of her life as a shopkeeper, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $3,100 goes:
• Part-time carer (three months): $1,950
• Medication and prescriptions: $350
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $450
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $350

The list at the bottom is the whole picture. part-time carer (three months) is the biggest at $1,950. Fair thing to want to know.
