I'm caring for my father, who's 76. After a heart attack Antonio can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Antonio desperately wants to stay at home. I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Antonio worked all of his life as a factory worker, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $2,200 goes: • Part-time carer (three months): $1,650 • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $350 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $200 Thank you for reading my story.
