Care for Alp, 79: help cover a carer and medication in Üsküdar
Alp, 79, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $950 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 79. After a fall and hip fracture Alp can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Alp desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Alp worked all of his life as a carpenter, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.

• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $100
• Part-time carer (four months): $665
