I live with cerebral palsy. My occupational therapist at Cape Coast General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a communication tablet with eye tracking. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,000. My current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 5 weeks. With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $1,000 goes: • communication tablet with eye tracking: $900 • Fitting and training sessions: $25 • Delivery and set-up: $15 • First-year servicing plan: $60 Glad we found this place. - Kweku
