Care for Alexander, 96: help cover a carer and medication in Manchester
Alexander, 96, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $3,850 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 96. After a diagnosis of dementia Alexander can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Alexander desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Alexander worked all of his life as a shopkeeper, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $3,850 goes:
• Part-time carer (six months): $2,700
• Medication and prescriptions: $420
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $290
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $440
