Candra is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a master's in public health at Surabaya State College, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $250.
The registrar has said Candra can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Candra has a 3.8 average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Candra would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Candra isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Surabaya State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
