Caio's stomach cancer treatment fund
8 rounds of treatment are planned at the Rio de Janeiro Oncology Institute; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Caio was diagnosed with stomach cancer in May. The oncology team at the Rio de Janeiro Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in September. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Caio is 56, worked as a bus conductor until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Rio de Janeiro Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $2,650 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,350
• Scans and lab work: $200
• Transport to the Rio de Janeiro Oncology Institute: $165
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $155
• Household costs while unable to work: $780
I hope life is good to you.

Wishing you peace. This could happen to any of us. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Rio de Janeiro
get well soon. Greetings from Khon Kaen.
