Busisiwe can't leave home - help build a ramp
Busisiwe uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.

Busisiwe has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Busisiwe can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Busisiwe's family will cook lunch for the team.
I hope life is good to you.

Get well soon. My husband and I read this together. Take care
Thinking of you and your family. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Take care.
Good luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 25 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
