Build a wheelchair ramp for Travis in Cincinnati
Help Travis regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇺🇸 Ohio, United States304 views
Travis has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Travis can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Travis's family will cook lunch for the team.
Thank you so much.

Keep going. Hope this works out for you. Love from Ottawa.
So sorry you're going through this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't give up. Greetings from Machakos.
Best of luck, Ximena. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. All the best.
Stay strong. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Sent it to 17 people at work. Blessings.
Take care, Ximena. Your post was clear and honest. I'll check back for the next update. Greetings from Kyiv.
