Build a wheelchair ramp for Sebastián in Fresno

Sebastián uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.

Sebastián has used a wheelchair since 2022, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Sebastián can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Sebastián's family will cook lunch for the team. I hope life is good to you.

  • Thinking of you and your family. Wishing Sebastián a smooth procedure and a full recovery. After 28 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from Sheffield.
