Build a wheelchair ramp for Leah in Burnaby
Leah uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
🇨🇦 British Columbia, Canada1,173 views
Leah has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Leah can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Leah's family will cook lunch for the team.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Hope things get better soon. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry!

Good luck. Looking forward to the next update. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
