Build a wheelchair ramp for Kimberly in Philadelphia
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Philadelphia.
🇺🇸 Pennsylvania, United States662 views
Kimberly has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Kimberly can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Kimberly's family will cook lunch for the team.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

stay strong, Elena. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Greetings from Moscow
Hope the doctors have good news. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Philadelphia.
