Build a wheelchair ramp for Eunice in Accra
Help Eunice regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇬🇭 Greater Accra, Ghana845 views
Eunice has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Eunice can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Eunice's family will cook lunch for the team.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
- effort
- one weekend
- format
- In person in Accra
- skills
- carpentry, measuring, power tools

Rooting for you. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Accra

rooting for you, Kweku. This could happen to any of us. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
