Build a wheelchair ramp for Esperanza in Fresno
Help Esperanza regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇺🇸 Fresno, California, United States895 views
Esperanza has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Esperanza can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Esperanza's family will cook lunch for the team.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Praying for you, Héctor. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Paarl
