Build a wheelchair ramp for Anna in Amsterdam
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Amsterdam.
π³π± Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands1,631 views
Anna has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Anna can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Anna's family will cook lunch for the team.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

wishing you the best. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Wish I lived closer to Lapu-Lapu so I could bring a meal.
Thanks for sharing this, Bas. Get well soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. All the best.
Wishing Anna a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Blessings
Keep going. Hope the doctors have good news. Please keep us posted
Sending good thoughts, Bas. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Grenoble.
