Buffalo wildfire relief - Marketplace village
After the wildfire, families in Marketplace village need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The wildfire hit Marketplace village on 25 July. My home was one of 64 damaged, and 8 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $6,400 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $2,400
• Clean water and purification supplies: $480
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $870
• Food parcels for displaced families: $1,450
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,200
Thanks for reading all this.

Praying for you. Hope you get there. Wish I lived closer to Arlington so I could bring a meal.
stay strong, Alexander. More neighborhoods should do this. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too!
Thinking of you, Alexander. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I hope October is when things finally get easier.
