Budi was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in August. The oncology team at the Jakarta Barat Oncology Institute has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Budi is 57, worked as a nurse until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Jakarta Barat Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $400 goes: • Transport to the Jakarta Barat Oncology Institute: $90 • Scans and lab work: $250 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $60 I hope life is good to you. - Gita

Updates from Gita

  1. Thank you all. We're at 23% now ($90). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team is now scheduled.

do you keep what's raised if the goal isn't met?

    • Gita SantosoOwnerAnswer2h ago

Absolutely. Every dollar reduces what I have to find elsewhere. I'll explain in an update how I cover the rest. Thanks for asking.

  • I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Blessings.
