Bruno needs dialysis three times a week and has lost the ability to drive; volunteer drivers can each take one day.

Bruno has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to the Iztapalapa Dialysis Unit alone. After a foot amputation, Bruno can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 11 km each way. Bruno is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

  • Sending good thoughts, Luis. Wishing Bruno a smooth procedure and a full recovery. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.

    • Stay strong, Luis. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Iztapalapa
