Brooklyn needs my taxi repaired to get back to work in Winston-Salem
Without my taxi Brooklyn cannot work; a $1,400 repair would put her back on the road.
🇺🇸 Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States2,772 views
I make my living with my taxi. 5 weeks ago the engine head gasket failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,400. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• engine head gasket replacement (parts): $1,050
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $250
• Towing and inspection: $100
Glad we found this place.
