I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a computer science degree at Durham Community College, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a warehouse packer to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $3,750.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a top-ten-percent average, and my academic advisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Durham Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $3,750 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,000
• Final term tuition: $2,050
• Exam and lab fees: $260
• Textbooks and materials: $440
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Wishing you the best, Brian. Hope you get there.
Keep going. I hope things turn around soon. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Greetings from Hồ Chí Minh City.
