Brian's acute lymphoblastic leukemia treatment fund

Brian is facing acute lymphoblastic leukemia and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Mukono
Brian was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in June. The oncology team at the Mukono Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in September. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Brian is 56, worked as a hairdresser until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Mukono Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,000 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $810 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $80 • Scans and lab work: $110 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 20% now ($200). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the treatment center and confirmed the amounts.
