Brian needs a specialist standing frame - help us make it happen
Help Brian get a specialist standing frame so He can attend work interviews.
Anywhere in the world330 views
Brian lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at Nairobi General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a specialist standing frame. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $50.
His current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Brian could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $50 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $25
• Fitting and training sessions: $20
• First-year servicing plan: $5

keep going. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
Thinking of you. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Nairobi
good luck. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We're a small family in San Francisco but we're thinking of you. Love from San Francisco
Sending love, Musyoka. Shared it with a few friends. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.
good luck, Musyoka. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. God bless.
Thinking of you, Musyoka. Hope the doctors have good news. God bless.
Thinking of you and your family, Musyoka. It takes guts to ask. Well done. All the best.
